3d Printing of plastic prototypes, products and parts in South Africa.
3D Printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a process of creating a 3 dimensional solid object from a digital file. The object is created by laying down successive layers of tiny slices of material from the bottom up, until the whole object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced horizontal cross-section of the whole object. These thinly sliced layers stick together to form the final solid object. Each layer can be very complex, which means you can create moving parts like hinges and wheels as part of the same object. 3D printing enables you to produce complex and functional shapes using less material than traditional manufacturing methods.
