ADV Plastics
The focus of ADV Plastics is custom plastic injection moulding.
We manufacture plastic electrical components and parts, plastic pool cleaner parts and plastic product
parts for the garden & home industry; and plastic components for the automotive
industry.
ADV Plastics was started 24 years ago by Andrew and Suzy Philippides with
one 200 ton machine. Two years later Chris joined and a year later Basil
joined.
We currently have 26 injection moulding machines ranging from 20 ton to 320 ton(mainly Negri
Bossi).
Our main aim is to supply top quality product at a reasonable price.
We do not have an in-house tool room but work in close
contact with 2 tool rooms that make all our tooling requirements according
to customer drawings or specifications.
We process all types of plastic raw materials ranging from polyolefin’s
i.e. polypropylenes to styrene’s to all types of engineering plastics
i.e. polyurethanes to polycarbonates to nylons to ABS etc.
Today ADV Plastics consists of three main components:
- ADV Plastics: Plastic Injection Moulding of Non-Automotive Components at 12 Watt place, Kya Sands, Randburg.
- ADV Plastics: Warehouse Facility and Assembly Facility at
Engineering close, Kya Sands, Randburg.
During April 2005 and as a result of increasing demand for non automotive and automotive components it was decided to move the Automotive segment of ADV Plastics to 36 Staal Str, Kya Sands. - ADV Plastics: Automotive Component Manufacturing at
36 Staal Str, Kya Sands, Randburg.
ADV Plastics currently holds an ISO 9001 listing, but the automotive section will be separated from this listing and obtain a TS 16949 shortly. The current VDA 6.3 rating is 86% AB rating. Our PPM rating with Robert Bosch is 0PPm for the past 5 years.
