Blow molding is a plastic forming process using thermoplastic raw materials, such as polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and polypropylene (PP), to create hollow plastic products. The process involves heating and inflating a preform. The preform is placed between two moulds that have the shape of the product. Air is then supplied to the preform which expands and conforms to the shape of the mould. Once the blowing process is complete, the newly manufactured product is cooled, ejected, trimmed, and prepared for further processes. Bottles and Packaging Products are the main applications of blow molding which comprise about 50% of the global blow molding market share.
