An ISO Standard is a document that provides requirements, specifications, guidelines or characteristics thatcan be used consistently to ensure that materials, products, processes and services are fit for their purpose.Organizations and companies often want to get certified to ISO’s management system standards (for example ISO 9001 or ISO 14001) although certification is not a requirement.
