Dr Boy, the German manufacturer of compact injection moulding machinery, demonstrated a Boy 35 E – painted in clean room white – at the Medtec International fair in Stuttgart. The four-tiebar Boy E-Series injection moulding machine was used to produce medical-technical plastic parts.

The 35 tonne clamping force machine was optioned to comply with Class 7 clean room requirements (ISO 14 644), was equipped with an antistatic coating and a laminar flow device. It was used to produce protective caps in a sixteen-cavity mould. Immediately after removal from the mould the caps were packaged in antiseptic, sterile and airtight pouches.
