BOY Machines at K-2025 in Düsseldorf
Submission Date : 2025-10-06

BOY to Present Nine Machines at K-2025 and Additional Seven at Partner Booths
From October 8 to 15, the
international plastics industry
will meet at K 2025 in
Düsseldorf – and BOY will of
course be there again with a
strong presence. In Hall 13,
Booth A43, we will be
presenting nine machines at
our own booth and seven
additional exhibits at partner
booths. This will allow us to
showcase not only our inno-
vative strength, but also our
close cooperation with other
companies in the industry.
There will be plenty of excit-
ing applications to see:
We are particularly excited
about the premiere of the
new BOY 20 E PRO. It
replaces the well-known
BOY 22 A PRO and has
significantly lower energy
consumption while delivering
the same performance
thanks to modern and state-
of-the-art servo drive
technology. It will also be
presented in the fresh new
BOY design. Transparent
delicacy bowl are
manufactured-coloured with
liquid paint.
In addition to our proven ser-
vo-hydraulic machines, we
are now introducing the ex-
panded BOY series. On a
BOY 35 Electric, precision
and speed complement each
other in the manufacture of
cable ties. The machine is
the most compact electrome-
chanical injection moulding
machine currently available
on the market. The BOY 80
Electric also demonstrates a
highly precise and dynamic
process in the production of
blood filters. Here, the
advantage of the BOY
machine concept in relation
to medical applications
becomes clear. No hydraulic
fluids or lubricants are used
in the clamping unit. The
BOY 100 Electric is a brand
new addition in our machine
programme. This expands
our Electric series upwards
with a more powerful injec-
tion unit (SP 215) and 100 t
clamping force. As charac-
teristic of our company, there
will be a highlight at K 2025.
This year, we are presenting
the BOY 50 Electric as the
centerpiece of our “Barista
Bar.” Freshly brewed espres-
so, served by a collaborative
robot in a freshly preheated
espresso cup. Stackable ice
cube moulds are produced
on the BOY 125 E with the
BOY Handling LR 5 and a
2C unit.Stackable ice cube
moulds are produced on the
BOY 125 E with the BOY
Handling LR 5 and a 2C unit.
On the BOY 100 E, we are
presenting the extended
version with a maximum
plate spacing of 900 mm,
which is used to manufacture
pylons. The special feature
is: The control system of the
BOY LR 5 is fully integrated
into the Procan ALPHA® 6
control system, which not
only combines operation and
data management, but also
eliminates the costs for
a second control system
and the EM67 interface.
Another highlight is the BOY
35 E VV, also equipped with
BOY LR 5. The vertical
machine demonstrates a
typical process with inserts.
A star knob with three diffe-
rent inserts is manufactured
fully automatically and in the
compact manner, typical for
BOY. A flexible separation
system is integrated into the
production cell, so that the
operator only has to refill
the three different bits as
bulk material. Precision in
the smallest space is
demonstrated with our
BOY XS E. Precise techni-
cal parts can be produced
excellently and very econo-
mically on this machine.
A small gear wheel weighing
only 0.35 grams is manufac-
tured on this machine. The
fact that BOY is represented
with seven machines at
partner booths once again
shows how in demand our
solutions are on the market
– and how flexibly our
technology works in conjunc-
tion with other applications.
We are already looking
forward to a successful trade
fair, good discussions, and
many visitors!

Robot integration on a new level: BOY presents the LR 5 Handling – fully integrated into the Procan ALPHA® 6 control system
BOY presents the now fully
integrated LR 5 handling
system, which is another
step toward even more
efficient and user-friendly
control. The proven BOY
handling system is now fully
integrated into the Procan
ALPHA® 6 control system.
Users benefit from a com-
mon user interface, uniform
operating logic, and signifi-
cantly reduced training times.
Sources of error are
minimized because handling
and machine now communi-
cate directly with each other
– all alarms, data, and events
converge in a central
system, enabling fast and
targeted error diagnosis.
The integration goes far
beyond the surface. Freely
programmable inputs and
outputs can be shared by the
handling system and the
injection moulding machine,
which not only saves space
in the control cabinet but also
increases flexibility. From a
commercial perspective, this
integration also offers many
advantages: An EM67 inter-
face is no longer required as
a separate control unit for the
LR 5, as the LR 5 can be
controlled directly from the
Procan software. This integ-
ration also offers many
commercial advantages: An
EM67 interface is no longer
required, nor is a separate
control unit for the LR 5, as
the LR 5 is controlled directly
by the Procan ALPHA® 6.
The integrated LR 5 can
therefore be offered at a
significantly lower price than
our previous counterpart.
The handling movements
can also be easily adjusted:
the X, Y, and Z axes move to
precisely defined positions -
either relative or absolute -
and can thus be perfectly
adapted to different moulds
and removal tasks. Thanks
to freely configurable
reference runs, including
the pneumatic axes, the
handling system is also quick
to set up and reliable in
initialization. A particular
highlight is the ability to
flexibly design sequence
flows and synchronize them
with the ejector movement of
the injection moulding ma-
chine.
This guarantees a gentle and
precise part transfer. The
system is complemented
by additional automation
functions such as palletizing
programmes and a conveyor
belt control system with
good/bad part separation,
enabling complete integrati-
on of the removal and sorting
processes into the machine.
With the LR 5, BOY once
again underscores its
commitment to combining
innovative technology with
genuine practicality. The
handling system integrates
seamlessly into existing
production processes and
helps our customers to make
their manufacturing even
more efficient, safer, and
more flexible. Whether as
part of a new automation
project or as an addition to
an existing BOY system, the
LR 5 is a real step forward for
anyone who wants to get
more out of the product.

BOY at K 2025: Innovative barista bar with BOY 50 Electric and collaborative automation
BOY impressively demon-
strates how modern injection
moulding technology and
creative applications can be
combined in a very small
space. Visitors to the K trade
fair will experience a particu-
larly enjoyable live applica-
tion: the BOY Barista Bar.
The highlight at the trade fair
booth is the BOY 50 Electric,
combined with an integrated
BOY Handling LR 5, which
impresses with its complete
integration into the Procan
ALPHA® 6 control system.
Visitors take a seat on a bar
stool at a stylishly designed
counter, enter their name,
and conveniently select their
espresso specialty via a
touch display. After a short
wait, they receive their fresh
espresso in a personalized
cup - a real trade fair high-
light with a personal touch.
The extra thick-walled
espresso cups are taken
from the BOY 50 Electric by
the integrated BOY LR 5 and
led to a laser station. After
customization, the cups are
then placed at a transfer
station and picked up by the
collaborating 6-axis robot.
The robot first takes the cup
to a coffee machine and then
refines the drink with a deco-
rative BOY logo made of
cocoa powder before serving
the cup to the guest. The cups themselves are made
of high-quality, sustainable
NAS® ECO 30 BC90 materi-
al, coloured with a special laser-compatible paint that
creates optimal conditions
for precise laser marking.
The material is provided by
our long-standing partner
INEOS Styrolution, a leading
manufacturer of Styrene
plastics. Christian Dietlein, Head of Technical Service,
INEOS Styrolution: “We
appreciate our long-standing
collaboration with Dr. Boy
and encourage our custom-
ers to discover BOY injection
moulding machines a the
K-trade fair."
